PPF coverage options: Partial + Front, Full Front, full body or single panels?

Short answer

Partial + Front covers the areas rocks hit most and is APC's starting package. Full Front adds full fenders and is the common choice for a new or new-to-you car. Full body covers every painted panel. Single panels, like rocker panels or the tailgate, can be added on request. Film comes in gloss, matte, gloss black and matte black.

What does Partial + Front cover?

The front bumper, the full hood, partial fenders, headlights and fog lights, mirror caps, door edges and door cups. Those are the spots that take rock hits on the freeway and scratches from keys, rings and fingernails around door handles. It's APC's starting package.

Why do so many people choose Full Front?

Full Front is the same coverage with full fenders instead of partial ones. Covering the whole fender means no film edge partway across the panel. It's the common choice for a new or new-to-you car.

When does full body make sense?

Full body covers every painted panel. It suits people who want the whole car protected from scratches, stains and road debris, or who want to change the look of the whole car with a matte finish.

Can I protect just one area?

Yes. Single panels are available on request: rocker panels, A-pillars and roof line, the luggage strip on the rear bumper, the tailgate, rear impact areas, or part of a panel. Trucks often need a different mix. See Do you need PPF on a truck?

What finishes are available?

Gloss, matte, gloss black and matte black. Matte film can cover the full vehicle or just accent pieces. More in colored and matte PPF.

How APC Auto Spa does it

APC starts with Partial + Front and recommends Full Front for most new or new-to-you cars. Partial + Front and Full Front are done in one day; full body takes three to five days depending on the vehicle.
