Is windshield protection film worth it?

Short answer

For many drivers, yes. Windshield film is a clear film that helps protect the glass from rock hits. APC uses ClearPlex Contour. Install starts at about two hours, and the film needs 2 to 4 days to cure to full clarity.

Why protect a windshield?

Your windshield faces the same rocks your hood does. Windshield film adds a clear layer on top to help protect the glass.

Why does it take days to look perfectly clear?

Like paint film, windshield film needs time to cure. For the first 2 to 4 days you may notice it isn't fully clear yet. After that, it cures to full clarity.

Is it right for every car?

Not for Teslas. Tesla offers its own windshield coverage, so APC doesn't recommend windshield film on them.
